SHUTTLE BUSES TO AND FROM THE FAIRGROUND:
There will be continuous shuttle buses to and from the fair site from airports, the city centres of Jönköping and Växjö and most of the hotels where visitors and exhibitors are staying. The shuttles also pass for instance (one or several stops in each town/village): Vetlanda, Eksjö, Nässjö, Tranås, Forserum, Örserum, Gränna, Mullsjö, Habo, Bankeryd, Tokeryd, Borås, Ulricehamn, Gothenburg (Göteborg). THE FAIR WED. JUNE 6 - SAT. JUNE 9, 2001:

Opening Hours: Wednesday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm 
Location: Bratteborgs Gård Estate, Vaggeryds Municipality, 30 km (19 miles) south of Jönköping. The fair is marked out on all main roads. Just follow the signs! Forest trail on the fairground: 5-6 km (3.1-3.7 miles).

Entrance Fee:
Entrance fees in SEK, including 25% VAT (Including entrance fee, parking and catalogue) Adults $25.00. Adolescents 14-18 years $12.50. Accompanied children under 14 years: free of charge. Discounts: Groups (more than 15 persons) 10% $22.50. Students 50% $12.50 Multiple day card: $47.50

Exchange on the fairground:
There will be exchange service on the fair ground and it is possible to pay the entrance fee with your credit card. All major credit cards accepted.

Parking:  Free parking on the fields in connection to the fairground.

Catalogue: Fair catalogue is included in the entrance fee and will be distributed on the fairground.

Restaurants: There are restaurants on the fair grounds and also some fast food and refreshment stands.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

How to telephone or Fax to, in and from Sweden:  Sweden has the country code 46. When calling from abroad you eliminate the 0 in the area code. To reach for example Elmia AB from abroad you thus call +46 36 15 20 00. When calling from outside Jönköping: 036 15 20 00 and when making a local call: 15 20 00. Please note that calling from a mobile phone can be differentfrom calling from a local telephone. Contact your operator for further information.

VAT:  All prices in Sweden include valueadded tax called "moms". The general VAT (Continued on page 14) tax is 25 percent. One exception is hotel accommodation, which is taxed with 12 percent. Companies can be refunded the VAT by sending an applicationto the Special Tax Office, SE-771 83 LUDVIKA, Sweden, tel. +46 (0)240 870 00, fax +46 (0)240 103 40. The application forms are obtainable from the same address. Private persons can usually be refunded at their home country border.

Currency:  Sweden's currency is the Swedish Crown or "krona", SEK. Banks, post-offices and most hotels can change your money. There will be an exchange office on the fairground. The exchange rates as of November 2000 are: o1 USD is SEK 10 o1 CAD is SEK 6.60 o1 Euro is SEK 8.70

Language:  The language spoken is Swedish. Most of the (younger) population speaks English more or less fluently. Some German and French is also understood and spoken, especially among the younger people.

Shops:  Normal opening hours for shops are from 10 am to 6 pm. Convenience stores are often open another two or three hours. All types of credit cards are normally accepted, except in some smaller shops/restaurants.

Climate and clothing:  The normal daytime temperature at the beginning of June is 15°C to 20°C, usually sunny and dry. But there are of course no guarantees - it might rain! The spring/early summer in Sweden is usually considered the most beautiful season of the year. The nights are short and in the northern parts of the country the sun never sets. Bring good shoes and suitable clothing - the whole fair is outdoors on a forest site.

Restaurants:  For planning your dinners you can either call the Jönköping Hotellbokning for advice and bookings or order our leaflet "Jönköpings Restaurangguide" (Swedish/ English) directly from us at Elmia. The normal dinnertime in Sweden is 6 pm to 8 pm. The restaurants normally close between 10 pm and 11 pm. Fast food restaurants often have longer opening hours.

Tip:  No tip is necessary in restaurants or when paying a taxi. The tip is included in the price.
