Patrick Lumber Company has acquired a portion of Mary’s River Lumber Company in Philomath, Oregon. The eight-acre purchase encompasses five dry kilns and the reman plant.
McCool Millworks Inc., based in Sweet Home, Oregon, will head operations. The Philomath operation will begin by processing primarily high-grade Douglas fir and Hemlock lumber, creating an opportunity for a dozen employees, with plans for expansion.
Peterson Pacific, a Eugene, Oregon-based manufacturer of horizontal grinders, drum and disc chippers, blower trucks, and screens is pleased to announce Goodfellow Corporation as their new distributor for their products in the states of Utah, Nevada, and southern Idaho. The official kickoff for Goodfellow Corporation as a Peterson dealer was February 1, 2017.
“Goodfellow Corporation and Peterson have been partners on Terra Select screen products for over three years, and because of the success of that partnership, we are very pleased to expand our relationship to include the entire Peterson product line,” said Brian Gray, Director of Sales.
Joel Larsen has been named the new president of Barko Hydraulics LLC. In his new position, Larsen will oversee all company activities, from operations to strategic planning to commercial sales.
Prior to joining Barko, Larsen held various senior leadership roles in the industrial and manufacturing sector with Ford Motor Company, BP, and most recently with Navistar International.
Morbark LLC has appointed Walt Niziolek as the new Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain.
Niziolek will handle supply chain and site operational requirements. This includes managing local, U.S., and overseas vendors and suppliers, all warehouse and distribution activities, quality initiatives, and liaising with business unit engineering support.
Wood-Mizer has significantly broadened its reach into the industrial sawmilling market with the introduction of Wood-Mizer TITAN. This new product line is a result of a purchase agreement with Multisaw, a well-established manufacturer of wideband sawmill equipment since 1990.
The Wood-Mizer TITAN line includes wideband primary and secondary breakdown sawmills and resaws as well as circular saw edgers, multirips, optimizing edgers, manual board edgers, and material handling equipment.
