DENSO Products and Services Americas Inc., a subsidiary of leading global automotive supplier DENSO Corp., has named Daniel Muramoto marketing manager of the company’s aftermarket automotive products and services, as well as its MovinCool, Robotics and ADC divisions. In this position, Muramoto is responsible for directing DENSO’s team of marketing professionals handling advertising campaigns, product websites, social media, trade shows, product catalogs, technical publications, external affairs, and corporate communications.
In 1973, Georgia-Pacific spun off Louisiana-Pacific, and Merlo became its first chief executive. He ran the company for 22 years, much of it from his corporate suite atop the U.S. Bancorp Tower, one of the tallest buildings in town.
Merlo built Louisiana-Pacific into a $3-billion-a-year company. It employed 13,000 and operated 46 sawmills, three pulp mills and other facilities.
Morbark, a manufacturer of equipment used in forestry, recycling, tree care, landscaping, sawmill and biomass markets, announced the appointment of David Herr as Chief Executive Officer. In addition to being an active member of the current Morbark Board, he brings extensive knowledge from experience with both products and services companies. He replaces Dan Ruskin, who resigned due to health issues.
“The Board is thankful for Dan’s leadership over the past six months as the Company has transitioned to the next phase in its development,” said Ray Whiteman, Chairman of the Board. “Our thoughts are with Dan and his family, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
Steve Talaga has been appointed Product Manager for forestry equipment manufacturer Barko Hydraulics LLC, part of the Pettibone Heavy Equipment Group. In his new position, Talaga is responsible for product line development, market analysis, and general support and interaction with Barko dealers and customers.
Prior to his new position, Talaga worked for sister company Pettibone/Traverse Lift LLC for four and a half years, first as a service technician and then as a design engineer. Talaga has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology from Michigan Technological University.
