Kenworth Honors Papé Kenworth as 2013 TRP All-Makes Dealer of the Year

Papé Kenworth was named Kenworth’s 2013 TRP All-Makes Dealer of the Year for the United States and Canada during the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting held recently in the Seattle area.

The award recognizes the Kenworth dealer that provides the best support for TRP parts and service among the more than 345 Kenworth locations in the Kenworth dealer network. Papé Kenworth was recognized for achieving superior support by providing customers expert advice on a wide selection of TRP product offerings for trucks, trailers, and buses.

Multitek Appoints Vimek

Multitek North America, LLC appointed the Vimek distributor for the US. Vimek manufactures small forwarders and harvesters with high ground clearance, low ground pressure, and low investment cost. The small scale forestry equipment is designed for contractors and woodlands owners looking to maximize value from their forests. Multitek will be displaying two models of the machines at the Essex Junction Forestry Expo in Vermont as well as the Richmond Expo in Virginia this coming May. www.multitekinc.com

Patrick Lumber Elects Halsey as President

Specialty lumber remanufacturer, distributor, and exporter Patrick Lumber, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in January, has announced that company president Jim Rodway retired at the end of the year. The company’s board of directors elected Dave Halsey to succeed Rodway as president, effective February 1, 2014.

Rodway spent his entire career with Portland-based Patrick Lumber, joining the company immediately upon graduating from Oregon State University in 1979. He became president of the company in 2001 when the current management team took controlling interest in the company.

Niessner Named General Manager of Omak Wood Products

New Wood Resources announced that David Niessner has joined the company as general manager of Omak Wood Products in Omak, Wash.

Niessner will help manage the 90-person team at Omak Wood Products, which was formed through an agreement with New Wood Resources and the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation to restart the veneer mill in Omak and enter into a long-term log supply agreement from tribal-owned timberlands.
