Stellar Adds Reach to Telescopic Crane
Stellar Industries has increased the reach of its 10,000- pound capacity telescopic service crane to 28 feet. The 10628 crane is designed to meet the needs of heavy construction companies and equipment repair shops. The 10628 has a 55,000-foot/pound capacity and can lift a maximum of 10,000 lbs. at 5’6" and 1,095 lbs. at 28’4". It uses a planetary winch system with a hydraulic/mechanical brake system and has a 60 foot/minute winch speed. Kenworth Offers New High-Speed Transmission on HeavyDuty Truck Models
Kenworth Truck Company now offers the Eaton Fuller Lightning 10-speed manual transmission for its T600, T800, W900, T2000, and C500 models. The transmission is rated at 1,550 and 1,650 lb. ft. of torque, is lighter than Eaton Fuller's previous Super-10 transmission and has fewer parts for easier servicing. The transmission features an aluminum clutch housing, electric splitter button control knob, and selectable Top-2 automated shifting between the top two gears. The Lightning 10-speed transmission can be spec'd with Caterpillar C-10, C-12 and C-15 and the Cummins ISX (rated at 500 horsepower or less). Morbark Offers New Shredder
Morbark, Inc. now offers a slow speed, high torque, primary waste reduction shredder. The Morbark Predator is designed to process difficult materials such as C&D debris, railroad ties and other contaminated waste streams that are unsuitable for high speed grinding. A64" by 76" shredder opening feeds material in 15" diameter counter-meshing rotors with hooked start shredders mounted to the rotor in a spiral pattern. Shredder assemblies are of welded construction and are hydraulically driven off the engine through two 99:1 reducing transmissions delivering 950,000 inch/pounds of torque to each rotor. The 44,000-pound Predator is equipped with a 48" wide continuous belt discharge conveyor with a discharge height of 138".
