The American Forest Foundation is urging you to call or write your Representatives in the House before Friday, June 23, asking for continued improvements in the climate legislation
While there have been some improvements to the bill, we must continue to emphasize and build support for family forest owner access to renewable energy markets or carbon incentives in the bill.
FAMILY FOREST OWNERS MUST BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN CLIMATE AND RENEWABLE ENERGY MARKETS AND INCENTIVES IN THE LEGISLATION.
Please take 5 minutes in the next 2 days to make your voice heard — send a letter or place a call to your Representatives in the House, asking them to support improvements in the climate bill, HR 2454, for family forest owners.
Given that time is short, we strongly urge you to call your Representative and voice your concerns. Click here for contact information.
To learn more how climate legislation, if constructed properly, can provide new revenue streams for family forest owners, view AFF’s report on Family Forests and Climate Change.
Thank you for your help. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
