Balluff's Microbox Transducer Output
Converter
Balluff's new Microbox transducer output converter offers noise-immune
digital position feedback to industrial
woodworking machines with analog controls. Used in conjunction with the
digital version of Balluff's Micropulse non-contact linear position
transducer, the Microbox is a low-cost, easymount, digital-to-analog
processor which converts clean digital position and/or velocity feedback
to analog signal for processing by machine control. This eliminates the
possibility of transducer misreads due to analog signal fluctuation. The
multi-channel Microbox can also provide feedback on up to four targets
moving in the same plane- such as multiple blades on sawblade machinery
and slitters-using only one Micropulse transducer. Circle Reader Service

Petro-Canada Launches Duron Synthetic
Petro-Canada has launched Duron Synthetic, a full-synthetic, heavy duty
engine oil developed to perform in extreme temperature conditions and
provide extended oil drain intervals at a competitive price. Duron
Synthetic is formulated for use in both mobile and stationary equipment in
the trucking, forestry, construction, mining and manufacturing industries.
It provides the low temperature "pumpability" of an SAE 0W
engine oil without sacrificing the high-temperature strength and
durability of a non-synthetic 15W-40, enabling faster cold weather start
ups and reduced engine idling in severe cold weather, the company says. In
field trials, engines operated effectively for more than 900 hours before
an oil drain, compared to 250 hours with a non-synthetic 15W-40 oil.
