Komatsu Forest Announces New Valmet Dealers
Komatsu Forest announced the addition of two new dealers. In Colorado, the dealer is Power Motive Corp. and in California, Arizona and New Mexico the dealer is Road Machinery Company. In Colorado, Valmet forest machines are now sold and serviced by Power Motive through the Denver, Grand Junction, Colorado Springs and Milliken locations.

 The newly authorized Valmet fellerbuncher, harvester, forwarder, and Komatsu forestry excavator dealers are also part of the Komatsu dealer network. Valmet is a global leader in drive-totree, swing-to-tree, cut-to-length forestry systems, and distributes Komatsu’s purpose-built forestry excavators.

In California, Road Machinery branches cover all forestry markets, including those previously covered by Shanahan Equipment and Sierra Machinery Services, with locations in Redding, Sacramento, San Leandro, and Fresno. In addition, Road Machinery covers Southern California, New Mexico, Arizona and El Paso, Texas. Power Motive and Road Machinery offer the full range of forestry services including equipment sales, parts, workshops and field service, operator training, forestry specialists and technical advisors.

Ridewell Names New President
Ridewell Suspensions has tapped John E. Millsap to serve as President. Millsap has been vice president for the past four years and has been with Ridewell nearly 14 years. He replaces John E. Raidel II who continues on as CEO. Millsap is only the third president to serve during Ridewell’s 41 years in the suspension business.
 “It’s a great honor for me to serve as president. Ridewell is a very successful company, and you don’t have to look any farther than the people who work here to see why this company has prospered,” said Millsap.

Jaakko Laurila VP (Russia) and CEO of OOO Ponsse
In his new duties, Jaakko Laurila, M.Sc., will be responsible for Ponsse’s business operations and the development of the sales and service network in Russia and CIS. Laurila previously worked as Sales Director of OOO Ponsse and Export Manager of Ponsse Plc, responsible for export to Russia. In addition, Sergej Sviridenko has been appointed Managing Director of OOO Ponsse.

Peterson Appoints New Parts Sales Rep.
Peterson, a Eugene, Ore., based manufacturer of grinders, chippers, and blower trucks appointed Claudia Moug as a Parts Sales Representative. Moug has worked in the heavy equipment parts industry for many years. She has most recently worked for Madill, an equipment manufacturer, and several equipment dealers including Triad Machinery, Papé Brothers, and Howard Cooper.  HALLCO Industries Inc. — Formerly HALLCO Manufacturing
The innovator of the Live Floor conveyor system, Olof Hallstrom, and his wife Mary, have sold their interests in HALLCO. Mike Almond of Australia has purchased controlling interest in the newly formed company of HALLCO Industries Inc.

Mike Almond owns B Mountain Industries, a transport company located in Newcastle on the East Coast of Australia. Mountain Industries has been involved in trucking and rail operations since 1980.

Steve Hallstrom will be serving as President of HALLCO Industries Inc., and Dan Hallstrom as V.P. of Manufacturing. Jack McClave has returned as Chief Financial Officer, and Charles Russell has accepted the position of V.P. Sales/Marketing, heading up the sales team located in the USA. In conjunction with the Hallstrom family, who retain a significant shareholding in the new venture, Mike Almond’s future plans for HALLCO Industries are to develop and grow from its base in Tillamook. There will be no change in the Tillamook operations, other than plans to make the company larger and stronger.

Cat Forms Alliance and Celebrates Expansion
Caterpillar Inc., recently selected CleanAIR Systems, Inc. of Santa Fe, New Mexico, as the Caterpillar strategic alliance partner for emission retrofit products. These products are installed into existing applications in order to reduce hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, and diesel particulates.

Caterpillar Forest Products also recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the latest expansion of its world headquarters in LaGrange, Ga. Approximately 17,000 sq. ft., including a new office building, were added to accommodate additional administrative and operations personnel and the assembly of Cat® Forestry Machines (FM).

USNR Acquires Coe Newnes/McGehee
USNR recently announced the acquisition of Coe Newnes/McGehee, including both its solid wood business unit (Newnes-McGehee) and its dry kiln and engineered wood product business unit (Coe Manufacturing).

VCES Dealership Seattle & Spokane
Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) added two more Volvo compact equipment dealer branches to its expanding distribution network. The Seattle & Spokane Volvo Construction Equipment & Services (VCES) branches now represent the comprehensive line of Volvo compact wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, and backhoe loaders.
