Ruskin Appointed to Lead Morbark to the Next Level

The Morbark LLC board of directors has announced the appointment of Dan Ruskin as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The announcement coincides with the recent sale of Morbark to Stellex Capital Management, a private equity manager that invests in both U.S. and international corporations.

“Dan is an excellent fit for Morbark,” said Ray Whiteman, Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner of Stellex Capital Management. “We have known Dan for close to 20 years, and his experience across multiple industries, in particular industrial markets such as heavy equipment, automotive, truck, and transport vehicles, has prepared him well for this position.”


Laslavic Named Fuchs Material Handler RSM and National Accounts Manager

Fuchs announces a strategic addition to the material handler sales team, critical to the expansion of the Fuchs product line in North America. Anthony Laslavic is now a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and National Accounts Manager for Fuchs material handlers. In his new position, Laslavic will work closely with customers and the entire Fuchs sales team to strengthen distribution of the material handler line throughout North America, particularly at the national account level.


John Deere-Hitachi Specialty Products Factory Produces Milestone Machine

John Deere recently marked a manufacturing milestone with the completion of the 4,000th unit built at the John Deere-Hitachi Specialty Products (DHSP) factory in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 4,000th machine, a 2154D processor equipped with a 622B Waratah processing head, was sold by Brandt Tractor Ltd’s Prince George, BC location. The machine was celebrated on December 9, 2015, through a John Deere Gold Key Tour at the factory, giving the customer a behind the scenes look into the workmanship put into every John Deere machine, including the milestone unit purchased.


Chief Operating Officer Steps up as New Interim Executive

The Port of Longview Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to appoint current Chief Operating Officer Norm Krehbiel as Interim Chief Executive Officer at their regular commission meeting January 26, 2016.

Krehbiel first joined the port in 1993 as the Director of Facilities and Engineering, a role he held simultaneously with his role as COO. In this capacity, he managed the construction and maintenance of nearly 850 acres of infrastructure and development. In 2008, he was appointed to the position of Deputy Executive Director and later the Chief Operating Officer.


Talbert Manufacturing Names Eller West Region Sales Manager

Talbert Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of specialized heavy-haul trailers and transportation equipment, hired Jim Eller as its new west region sales manager. Eller works directly with Talbert dealers in 23 states west of the Mississippi River to help them market, specify, customize, and sell trailers that meet their customers’ application needs. “Jim brings more than 19 years of experience with heavy-haul trailers, and I know he’ll be an asset to the Talbert team,” said Troy Geisler, Talbert Manufacturing vice president of sales and marketing.
